Call for Filmmakers: 1% For the Tetons

 Deadline is end of business today. 

Hello Teton-area filmmakers. In October, 1% for the Tetons will be holding its first annual “Video Blitz.”

The concept is simple. On Saturday, October 13, we will hold a “Match Party,” at which eight local filmmakers will be paired with eight 1% for the Tetons-funded projects. Each filmmaker will have one week to produce a three-minute video about that project.

One week later, on Saturday, October 20, we will screen all eight videos at a 1% celebratory event at the Center for the Arts theater.

Each of the eight filmmakers will receive $500 for their work. In addition, each video will be eligible for four $1,000 prizes, with the proceeds to be split between the filmmaker and the nonprofit sponsoring the subject project.

If you would like to be considered for one of the eight filmmaking slots, please notify me by Friday, October 5.

Filmmakers who wish to participate need to send an e-mail expressing interest to kjschechter@gmail.com. This e-mail must contain the following information:

• Name of filmmaker and/or company
• Personnel who will be involved
• Contact information (address, e-mail, phone)
• Resume, C.V., filmography, or similar list of projects
• An expression of willingness to commit to four requirements:
     i.    Meet the technical specifications provided by 1%T for the videos
           (provided before the “Match Party”).
     ii.   Attend the October 13 “Match Party.”
     iii.  Provide 1%T with a nearly-final version of their video by 12:00 noon on
          Saturday, October 20 (to allow sufficient time to have the video
          combined with others into the master file for the evening).
     iv. Actively encourage supporters to attend the October 20 event, and to
          view the videos on-line during the voting period of Oct. 21-Nov. 2.
