Newspapers reserve their biggest headlines for Hollywood productions. When "Django Unchained" or "Starship Troopers" comes to town, it's an exciting time for the Film Office and for Wyoming in general. The national publicity is great, and the boost to tourism is undeniable.
But this office is about more than bringing production in from out of state. We're charged with developing Wyoming's production infrastructure, making sure that local filmmakers receive all the support that they deserve. And as far as the Film Industry Financial Incentive is concerned, the numbers reflect that policy.
The vast majority of FIFI funds stay in the hands of Wyomingites. But because these "small" productions of a quarter million dollars don't get the same hype as blockbusters, we tend to lose sight of that fact. All the information is online and available for the public though. Hit the link and see for yourself: FIFI Report 2012

I would LIKE the economy, and our whole society, to be based more on abundance, on the idea that there is plenty of everything for everybody. bankreconciliation.info
